Leak or normal evaporation?
Marrakech heat can produce significant evaporation, especially in exposed pools. A persistent drop beyond expected evaporation, wet ground around the pool, air entering the circulation system or repeated topping-up can indicate leakage. A simple controlled water-loss comparison is often a useful first step before invasive work.
Waterproofing failures
Pool waterproofing depends on a sound substrate, compatible waterproofing system, correctly treated corners and penetrations, and a tiled finish that is not expected to act as the waterproof layer by itself. Failed joints or tiles may be visible symptoms while the actual water-retaining layer beneath has deteriorated.
Cracks and movement
Cracks should be assessed before they are simply filled. A local repair may be appropriate where the defect is stable and limited, while recurring movement or wider structural concerns may require specialist assessment before waterproofing is reinstated.
Pool equipment and surrounding works
