A plumbing leak can damage ceilings, walls, cabinetry and waterproofing long before the pipe itself becomes visible. MBR handles the building side of plumbing repair as one coordinated job: locate the likely source, repair the installation, then reinstate the affected finishes.
Plumbing problems we handle
- Leaking supply and waste pipes
- Bathroom and shower leaks
- Low or inconsistent water pressure
- Faulty valves, taps and sanitary connections
- Water heater and hot-water distribution issues
- Leaks concealed behind walls or ceilings
- Water damage requiring plaster, tile or paint reinstatement
Finding the source before opening finishes
Water can travel along pipes, slabs and service voids, so the visible stain may not sit directly below the leak. We start with the pattern of moisture and the fixtures or pipework serving the area. Opening work is then kept as targeted as practical.
Bathroom leaks are not always plumbing leaks
Water around a bathroom may come from a pipe, failed shower seal, defective floor or wall waterproofing, poor drainage or movement at joints. Replacing plumbing components will not solve a waterproofing failure, which is why the surrounding construction has to be considered.
Pressure and distribution problems
Weak pressure, uneven flow and intermittent supply can be caused by pumps, tanks, filters, pipe sizing, valves or local restrictions. Villas with gardens, pools and several bathrooms often need the system considered as a whole rather than adjusting one tap.
Repair and reinstatement
Once the plumbing repair is completed, we can coordinate masonry, plastering, tiling, cabinetry or painting required to close the area. That avoids leaving the owner to find several different trades after the plumber has finished.
If the leak originates from a terrace or roof rather than pipework, see waterproofing and leak repair. Persistent damp after a leak is covered under damp, humidity and mould repairs.
Frequently asked questions
Do you offer emergency plumbing call-outs?
MBR is primarily a building repair contractor rather than a 24-hour emergency plumber. We are best suited to faults that require proper diagnosis, repair and associated building work.
Can you repair the ceiling or tiles after fixing the pipe?
Yes. Reinstatement can be included in the same scope so the affected area is finished properly.
Can you work from an inspection report?
Yes. If a property survey has already identified plumbing defects, send the relevant findings and photos and we can use them as a starting point for the site assessment.
